Its founders are the “National Palace of Culture – Congress Centre Sofia”, the “Inter Expo and Congress Centre” and the “Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association”. Currently, the Bulgarian Convention Bureau is an active association that has developed and adopted all necessary procedural and operational rules to ensure its normal functioning in the interest of the Bulgarian M.I.C.E. industry. The establishment of the Bulgarian Convention Bureau is a national project whose aim is to develop and promote Bulgaria as a sustainable destination for conducting significant international events. Our mission is to support the M.I.C.E. industry in the country by promoting and offering, both in Bulgaria and abroad, the congress and exhibition venues, specialised services for conducting international congress and convention events, trade exhibitions and fairs, corporate and incentive trips in order to increase the number of such events held in Bulgaria. The main idea behind the project is to coordinate the activities of its member, educating and establishing a certain level of service in each conference region, and assisting them in presenting a solid overall product. This type of partnership brings together individual proposals of each member to reach key markets at both national and global level. The Bulgarian Convention Bureau has also been formed effectively coordinate all marketing activities used for communicating with partners abroad and potential clients interested in holding meetings, incentive events, conferences or exhibitions in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian Convention Bureau is working to harmonize Bulgarian practice with the imposed global approach to offering integrated services in the M.I.C.E. industry. Its representatives have been promoting Bulgaria as a conference destination by attending professional trade fairs in different countries and participating in familiarization and press trips.
