Since its founding in 2008, the Foundation for Social Change and Inclusion (FSCI) has been working for the social development and integration of underprivileged individuals, groups and communities in Bulgaria and, since 2015, in other Balkan countries. The work of the team aims at breaking the vicious cycle of poverty and social isolation and restoring hope for a better future. As an organization, FSCI believes that every person has the right of access to resources and opportunities that will help him/her to live and develop himself/herself with dignity. FSCI has three main programmes – a network of family type homes for young vulnerable people, leaving state care, called “House of Opportunity” programme; an “Early Years Education” programme, which aims to reduce the school drop-out rate among Roma children and thereby increase access to education for this vulnerable group; a “Social Enterprise” programme - practical projects that give young vulnerable adults social and employment skills, such as a catering business, called "HOPe Restaurants" (Sofia) and a soap-making project, called "HOPe soap" (Sofia).
