Inspired by the idea to experience science in its pure form, we devote all our efforts to shedding light on the latest scientific achievements among the medical society by organizing the International Biomedical Congress of Sofia (IBCS) 2017. The congress encapsulates our primary message we want to emphasize – namely to show the crucial importance of research approaches on a molecular level, as well as the immense significance of translational medicine in terms of seeking new perspectives in novel treatments and improving diagnostic methods through biomedical research. Driven by the necessity of sharing innovative ideas, we will bring forward to you captivating keynote speakers ready to blow your minds with avant‐garde thoughts and ideas, provoking in you and among you not just a brainstorm, but a veritable thunderstorm of neuronal action potentials. Furthermore, you will get the chance to test your practical and manuals skills during our workshops and interactive challenges. IBCS 2017 will be held under the patronage of the rector Prof. Victor Zlatkov of the Medical University of Sofia, and co‐organised by the Student Council of the University and the Association of Students Explorers (ASE).
