Otkrivatel Montessori School dedicates itself to providing a quality Montessori bilingual education for children aged 14 months through 14 years. We are authentic Montessori school with both Bulgarian and English highly qualified teachers in our classrooms. Otkrivatel Montessori School was founded in 2012 by a newly trained Montessori teacher as a bilingual multi-cultural nursery and pre-school dedicated to offering child-centred prepared environment, individualised and self-directed curriculum. The school was originally called Peekaboo Montessori Children’s House and had a location in a green Sofia neighbourhood – Dragalevtsi. In 2016, an Elementary program (6-14 y.o.a.) was added to the Primary program, when we opened the doors at our property on Gluharche Str. We changed the name to Otkrivatel Montessori School in 2018. Otkrivatel Montessori School has been accredited by the Ministry of education and science in Bulgaria, since the school first opened its doors in 2013. In 2016 the Elementary program is licensed by the Ministry. In 2017 Otkrivatel Montessori School is licensed as Innovative School by Bulgarian Council of Ministers. We fulfil and exceed the national standards set by the State for every level. Otkrivatel Montessori School applies Montessori principles and practices according the highest international standards of Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), the organisation founded by Dr. Maria Montessori. This organisation represents the most exacting standards of excellence for Montessori schools. AMI trained teachers ensure that the school meets its rigorous standards.
