Marchel was born in the aristocratic Danube city Russe. He loves the brоadness over the water and this love hе carries in the seascapes; the seascapes are an essential part of his work. Vivid, contrasting, expressive he does not just a mirror-picture of the colors in the world around. He likes the wood-carving and this feeling of volume and depth lives in his oil paintings, too.
